Richard Lee Patton, Sr.
67, Indianapolis, passed away October 27, 2012. He was born in Lafayette and grew up in Brookston, IN. He attended Tri-State College and married Susie Luscombe in 1964. He started as an assistant manager with Burger Chef in 1967 and went on to become an area manager and changed career paths in 1981. On his way, he met and married Lila Erwin in 1986. In 1982, he obtained his insurance license and joined Primerica. He loved working with people and went on to join his son in the real estate business in 2005. He was a member of Keystone Christian Church. Dick is survived by his wife Lila, mother Geneva Sims, former wife Susie, sons Rick and Mark (Stacey), stepchildren Anthony (Stephanie) Erwin, Nicole (Brian) Bailey, niece Dani Jones, ten grandchildren, and his faithful dog Einstein. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-6pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North , with funeral services to follow at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Keystone Christian Church or Joy's House.
