Richard Lee McKim died December, 24, 2013 at the age of 52.
Born in Indianapolis on September 13, 1961 he was the son of Richard Earl McKim and Sharon Lee Gill McKim. Living most of his life in Indianapolis, he relocated to Lexington, Kentucky in 2001. He worked as a Patient Services Coordinator for the University of Kentucky.
His talents included singing, art, and photography. He was an avid reader, loved his coffee (especially Starbucks), and enjoyed his bourbon. Above all he was an amazing father and friend to everyone he met and adored his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, sense of humor, and abundant love for his family.
Richard is survived by his children Amanda L. (Brian) Noel and Richard W. (Jacqueline) McKim; Grandchildren Rachel L. McKim, Brian Noel Jr., Faith Noel, Raylee Noel, and Landon Noel; father Richard Earl McKim; siblings Vicky (Brad) Abel, Karen (Leo) Burgess, and Patricia (Tom) Hunley; his cat Sophie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rachel Ann McKim and his mother Sharon Lee McKim.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 30 from 1 to 4 PM with a Funeral Service beginning at 4 PM in Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis.
