Richard Lee Landis

Richard Lee Landis, 85, of New Palestine Indiana, he passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 surrounded by his family. Richard was born on December 21, 1929 in Beech Grove, IN to the late Ralph and Cecilia Landis. Richard fought for the United States Army in the Korean War, and retired from Union Sheet Metal in 1993. Richard and the love of his life, Faith Joy Landis, were married for almost 65 years. Richard is preceded in death most recently by his loving wife, Faith Joy. In addition he was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Kara Faith Hinesley and Grant E. Gutzmer, and one great-grandchild, Shelby Landis. Treasuring his memory are his children, Vicky L. Bock (Mark), Richard L. Landis, Jr. (Tammy), Cathy L. Anderson (Tony), Susan L. Krause (Joe), and 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 from 4pm-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis 46226. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 10:00am in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th St. In Interment will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
