Richard L. Pipkin 90 of Fishers formerly Indianapolis died on June 26, 2012. Richard was born on October 31, 1921 in Nashville, TN to Dewey Leigh Pipkin and Helene (Phillips) Pipkin-Chandlee. Richard served our country in the Army during WWII. Richard is preceded in death by his wife Martha (Cox) Pipkin, his son Edward Leigh Pipkin and his sister Juanita Jones and a half-sister Maryann Johnston. Richard was an X-Ray Technician and retired after 32 combined years of service where he worked for the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY then after relocating to Indianapolis he worked for Winona Hospital then Wishard Memorial Hospital. Richard also worked part time for Recommend TV Sales and Service. He was a member of Broad Ripple Masonic Lodge #643, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine and the Sarah Grotto. He was also a member of the Czech Society. Richard is survived by his wife Nancy Rae (Hendryx) Strawmyer-Pipkin, daughter Theresa Langley and Dorothy (Stephen) Lamond and a step-daughters Susan (David) Knapp and LeeAnn (Bart) Bridwell and step-sons Paul (Carlene) Strawmyer and Joe (Alison) Strawmyer 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and a half-sister Carolyn Deal. Calling will be held on Friday June 29, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North from 4 to 8 PM with a Masonic Service at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday June 30, 2012 at 11 AM in the funeral center. Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
