Richard H. “Dick” Jordan

90, of Indianapolis, passed away, August 11, 2016. Dick was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 9, 1925 to the late Rollin and Lucinda (Kruger) Jordan. He graduated from Purdue University with a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. During his career, he worked as an Electrical Engineer with I.P.L, retiring in 1987. Dick was a founding member of Unity Truth Center and member of Eta Kappa Nu Association. He enjoyed reading, puzzles, solving mathematical problems, golfing and traveling- especially to Hawaii.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Joan (Rose) Jordan, whom he married on June 25, 1949. He is also survived by his children: Connie Jordan Guyon (David), Kenneth Richard Jordan and Debbie Jordan; grandchildren: Sarah Guyon Gerrish (Paul), Andrea Guyon Elstro (Robert) and Matthew Guyon (Jessica); and 6 great-grandchildren: Bennett, Colton and Norah Gerrish, Hannah, Hailey and Logan Elstro, with baby-girl Guyon due to arrive in September.

Friends may call from 12pm until 2pm, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, where his funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
