Richard Goecker

Richard A. Goecker 65, Indianapolis, passed away June 13, 2013. Richard was born in Indianapolis, IN to Alvin and Jene (Whitaker) Goecker on April 14, 1948. Richard proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and later received his education from Ball State University, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in finance. Richard became a Sales Consultant for Overhead Doors, where he worked for nearly 30 years. Richard enjoyed fishing, yard work, music, but most of all spending quality time with his family. Richard was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Jene (Whitaker) Goecker, and will be lovingly missed by his lovely wife of 34 years; Patricia M. Goecker. Children: Greta (Goecker) and Chris Moseley, Ryan and Trista (Satern) Goecker. Brother: Louis F. Goecker and fiancé Valerie Dewitt. Grandchildren: Kiya, Claira, Tucker, and Jasper. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday June 19, 2013 at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple with an hour of calling prior to service.
