Richard Fihe

Richard Alan Fihe, 72, Carmel, passed away December 6, 2013. He was born April 5, 1941, in Gary, the son of the late Joseph Fihe and Margaret Melampy. He married Carolyn Sue (Warran) Fihe, who preceded him in passing on October 16, 2011, after 39 years of marriage. Richard started his career as a bagboy at Marsh Supermarkets. After 43 years of service he retired as Vice President of Operations. Richard loved to work and loved life. He spent his free time on the boat, or around the water. He enjoyed socializing with friends and family, grilling in the backyard and dancing on Thursday nights. He is survived by his children, Erica (Kurt) Bruton, Laurie (Jon) Walls, Richard (Andrea) Fihe, and Thomas (Rebecca) Fihe; his grandchildren, Reese, Camryn, Brendan, Alex, and Kara; and siblings Tim Fihe, Tom Fihe, Bill Fihe, and Margaret Ellen Gerber. He was preceded in death by brothers Larry and John Fihe and sisters Pat Foist and Jeanece Stage. Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue.
