Richard Carroll Fay, 81, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, determination, and laughter.
Born on February 3, 1945, to Carroll and Georgia (Revelle) Fay, Richard grew up in Joplin, Missouri, as the youngest of four boys. He is preceded in death by his beloved brothers, Robert, George, and Jack. Being the youngest shaped his resilience and wit — qualities that would define him throughout his life.
Richard was an entrepreneur at heart. Early in his career, he pursued his passion for music by managing bands, immersing himself in the music business he loved so deeply. His drive and business instincts eventually led him to build a successful courier business, where his work ethic, leadership, and determination earned him both respect and success. Whether in the music industry or in his logistics business, Richard poured his energy and passion into everything he did.
He was known for his hardworking spirit and entrepreneurial mindset. He believed in building something meaningful, working tirelessly for what he wanted, and taking pride in the work he accomplished.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Tayler Mikosz-Baker, and his loving wife, Rachelle Elaine “Davis” Fay, who stood by his side through life’s many chapters. Their bond was a testament to loyalty, partnership, and enduring love.
Richard will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in Francesville, Indiana.
Richard’s legacy is one of ambition, perseverance, and heart. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
