Richard 'Dick' Powell

Richard "Dick" N. Powell 74, of Greenwood, IN, passed away Monday, October 3, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Beech Grove. Dick was born in Wabash, IN, son of Meade and Sarah (Badger) Powell. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #252. Dick was also a member of the Mooresville Masonic Lodge #669 F&AM, and a founding member of the Franklin Central Band Boosters. Dick retired from Acosta Sales and Marketing, where he was a Sales Manager. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sue (Persing) Powell of Greenwood, IN; daughter, Debra McKee (Mark) of Fairland, IN; son, Stephen Powell (Melissa) of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Erika, Justin, Zachary, Jessika and Luke; brothers, Everett Powell of Lafontaine, IN and Rev. John Powell of Bradford, OH. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center at Memorial Park , with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral center. A Masonic service will be held on Friday at the funeral home.
