Richard “Dick” J. Darragh, Jr. 92 of Indianapolis entered eternal rest on August 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 23, 1926 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Richard J. Darragh Sr and Anna Darragh. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He graduated in 1951 from Harvard University with a degree in International Relations. He spent his career as a Special Agent for the FBI before retiring after 26 years. Dick was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the New England sports including the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. He especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren at their sporting events.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Roselle Darragh; children Marie Miller (Sam), Robin Leach (Rick), Rick Darragh (Michele), Mike Darragh (Diane), Terry Kluempers (Kurt), and Mark Darragh (Cathlene); grandchildren Matt Miller (Tiffany), Brian Miller, David Leach, Adam Leach, Rick Darragh Jr., Steven Darragh, Allyson Darragh, Kyle Darragh, Ryan Darragh, Colleen Darragh, Lindsey Kluempers, Kristen Kluempers, Eric Kluempers, Amanda Orban (Ryan), Beth Darragh, and Katie Darragh; great-grandchildren Micah Orban, Harper Orban, and Merritt Miller; and brother Tom Darragh (Gloria).
He was preceded in death by a brother, 2 sisters, and his parents.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 1 from 9 to 11 AM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon Saturday, September 1 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10t St., Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church for the Roselle Darragh Scholarship Fund.
