Richard Dewitt

Richard Clinton "Rick" DeWitt, age 72 of Indianapolis died Thursday September 22, 2011. He was born November 27, 1938 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Clinton and Margaret Kane De Witt. Rick graduated in 1961 from Miami of Ohio University, with a BS in analytical economics. Rick served with the U. S. Army during the time of the war in Vietnam. He and Joan Haskel were married from 1967 to 1974. Rick worked in financial and statistical analysis for RCA, Amex Coal, Naval Avionics, and retired from Raytheon Corporation. Rick is survived by son Jason (Amy) DeWitt; grandchildren Grant, Olivia, Rachel, and Natalie DeWitt; sister Martha "Marty" Dickinson; nephews James and Jeff Attwood and James Grove and niece Susan Miller. He was preceded in death by his sister Jean Grove. Services will be held Monday September 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm in Flanner and Buchanan Lawrence Funeral Center, 5215 North Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN with calling one hour prior.
