Richard D.Smith, 58, Indianapolis passed away July 19, 2016 with family by his side.

He was bornApril 19, 1958 in Indianapolis to Luella Margaret (Johnson) and Harvey EugeneSmith.

Richard wasa member of Eagle Valley Church of Christ. He was a fighter, protector andfamily man.

Richard issurvived by his wife, Carol Smith; children, Melissa (Shaun) Booker, MatthewSmith, Christopher Smith, Dajuan Pannell and Athena Salisbury; grandchildren,Mya and Serenity Booker; siblings, Frank (Nina) Ballard, Robert (Lola) Smith,William (Debbie) Smith, Cherie (Kerry) Lenihan and Portia Christy.

He waspreceded in death by parents, sister, Virginia Brown and brother-in-law, RickChristy.

Visitationwill be 4 until 8 pm Friday, July 22, 2016 with services 1 pm Saturday, July23, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-FloralPark, 425 N. Holt Rd. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery.
