Richard D. Golden

Richard D. Golden, 84, of Westfield, passed away March 29, 2023.  He was born November 15, 1938, in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of the late Kenneth F. and Hyral (Parks).

Richard proudly and honorably served in the United States Air Force.  He worked for 25 years for Central Medical Services in Decatur, Illinois.  He then relocated to Westfield, where he would eventually retire in 2009 from Westfield Pharmacy.  He was a man of strong, devoted Christian faith.  He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where he active in the men’s bible study.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey (Stacey Giese) Hunt; grandson, Austin Hunt; brother, Vernon (Shari) Golden; sister, Janice Priest; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Road.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Christ United Methodist Church, 318 North Union Street, Westfield, IN 46074.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.flannerbuchanan.com.
