Richard Allseitz

Richard Allseitz, 77, of Greenwood, passed away February 7, 2012 in Naples, Florida. He is survived by his children: Ursula Darlington, Dawn Butler, and Micheal Allseitz; 7 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Ruth L. Allseitz, in 2008. Richard was a Steel and Aluminum Representative for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 – 1956. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and German Occupation Medal. He was a charter member of the German American Club, American Legion, VFW, and the Masonic Lodge #32. He enjoyed travelling, remodeling homes, working on cryptograms, sharing jokes, dancing, and spending time with his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street.
