Rhea M. Vessels Fischer

Rhea Vessels Fischer, age 90, passed away January 7, 2019 in Avon, IN. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, William. She had two sons, William (Paula) of Indianapolis, and Mark (Renee) of Debary, FL. She was grandmother to Jackie Jackson, Shauna Lyons, Andrew Fischer, Erin Journay, and Sarah Pierson and had nine great grandchildren.

Rhea was multi-talented. She enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening, cooking, making baskets, and doing needlework. She loved travelling in the “Folly” with her husband throughout the country. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in Edinburgh, Scotland at St. Giles Cathedral, where they renewed their vows. They enjoyed travelling in Ireland and Wales, as well.

She was a spirited debater, had a high powered whistle that got everyone’s attention quickly, and loved her dogs Teddy and Louie.

She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
