Renae Marie Ervin Allogia Symons

December 30, 1899 — April 2, 2014

Renae Marie Ervin Allogia Symons 53 of Carmel, lost her battle with cancer on April 2, 2014. She was born June 7, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John and Dorothy Roth Ervin. At the age of 10 they moved to Florida. Renae's love of life is her legacy. She is survived by her husband, Douglas; children, Joe (Kelly) Allogia, Stephen Allogia, Caroline and Chandler Symons; stepchildren, Matthew Symons, Courtney (Luke) Livesay, Ashton Symons, beloved granddaughter, Sophia; brothers, Robert (Barb) Ervin, Gary Ervin; sister, Cindy (Arch) Stanton, and many nieces and nephews. Renae lived her life with passion and purpose. Whether it was with jewelry or diamonds, renovating a house, or working at an event with her Chocolate Fountain business, she loved the excitement. Her greatest passion though was her family and dogs. Renae lived in Indianapolis for 20 years however she never stopped calling Florida home. We know she has found a place in the sun and on the beach to rest before carrying on and fulfilling her commitment of serving God. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel 325 E. Carmel Drive Carmel, Indiana 46032. Service will be at 10:00 am Monday, April 7, 2014 at Geist Christian Church 8550 Mud Creek Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46256. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. Memorial gifts in celebration of Renae's life may be given to St Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl Memphis TN, 38105 A full tribute to Renae's life may be viewed online at www.flannerbuchanan.com where condolences may be shared.
