Rema Joyce McIntire

Rema Joyce McIntire (affectionately known by family and friends as Joy or Joyce), 83, passed away on January 8, 2015 in Plainfield, Indiana. A memorial service will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home on January 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
Joy was born to Dempsey Otis Allman and Ina Mae Wilson on April 14, 1931 and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She had one sister, Faith Stein and one brother, Dempsey Otis Allman (known as Odie), which both preceded her in death.
Joy's first marriage was with William Ernest Darling, where she had her first daughter, Deborah Starr (who recently passed). When Deborah was two year's of age, William passed while serving in the military. On September 17, 1956, Joy married Fred McIntire III, where they had two daughters, Robin Rene and Stacey Benita. Fred preceded Joy in death.
Joy lived in Brownsburg, Indiana since 1970, where she raised her family. She retired from the Indianapolis Paper Container during September 1992, and previously worked at Diamond Chain in Indianapolis. Joy spent her retirement years as a homemaker in Brownsburg, Indiana.
Joy left her legacy with three daughters – Deborah (Russ), Robin (Rob), and Stacey (Mike); three grandsons – Brian (Erin), Scott (Mindy), and Ryan; three granddaughters – Nicole (Ryan), Beckah, and Krissy; and three great-granddaughters – Olivia, Hayley, and Addisyn.
