Regina Ann "Gina" Hazelwood

Regina Ann “Gina” Hazelwood 73 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on December 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 10, 1950, to the late Joseph and Betty (Means) Louden.  Gina, as she was affectionately known as, was a devoted wife, loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great-great grandmother.  She had very long-lasting friendships with her Girl’s Group. Music also served a very important part of her life, in fact she was the lead singer for her band, Rocky and The Mushrooms. Gina was very loving, and her love and physical presence will be missed by all who knew her.  Her legacy will live on in her children, Michael (Kai) Schmitt, Brian Hazelwood, Mandi Hazelwood, her grandchildren, Kiley, Danny, Rachel, Harley, Emily, Megan, Lauren, Brooke, Joe, Mikaiya, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.  Gina is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Jones, Sue (Mike) Morgan, brother, Joe (Rose) Louden, her sister-in-law, Carol Louden, and her brother-in-law, Charles Hazelwood.  Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Jack Lee Hazelwood, who passed away this past February, her brother, Gene “Butch” Louden, brother-in-law, Sam Jones, sister-in-law, Debbie Gilchrist, brother-in-law, Frank Gilchrist, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jasper and Mary Hazelwood.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, 1:00pm-4:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the funeral service beginning at 4:00pm, there.  Gina’s request was to be cremated following the service.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society or any Animal Preservation group, due to Gina’s passion for animals.  To sign her online guestbook and share a story or memory with her family, you are encouraged to go to www.flannerbuchanan.com.
