Regina Adams

Mrs. C. Willis Adams, Jr. (Regina Jane Palmer Place Adams), 98, Indianapolis, passed away August 18, 2011. She was born April 11, 1913, in Rockford, Illinois. She was educated at Shortridge High School and Butler University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gama Sorority, and the University of Chicago. She also attended Herron Art School for three years later in life. She was a longtime artist, writer, gardener, and past member of Woodstock Country Club, the Junior League of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Garden Club, The Colonial Dames of America, and the Dramatic Club, where she starred in several plays over the years. She is survived by three children, Wendell Adams Giard, C. Willis Adams, III (“Pete”) and Jane Adams Bunn, as well as six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and most of all, friend. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
