Raymond Wesley Denson

Raymond Wesley Denson, 42, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on May 27, 2023. He was born on February 3, 1981, in West Palm Beach, Florida, to parents, John Wesley Denson Sr., and Terrie (Hammontree) Denson.

Ray served his community as a firefighter and EMT as well as working at Church Brothers Collision Repair. During his last year alive (2022-23) he was a Director of Operations for an event planning venue in Bloomington, IN. Ray was awarded EMT of the year in 2017. Ray was a dedicated father to his 3 boys, and he lived for them above all else. Ray shared his passion of hockey with his kids. He also loved to play golf in his free time as well as spending the weekends at Lake Monroe on his boat with his family.

Raymond is survived by his mother, Terrie Denson; children, Raymond, Easton, and Graham Denson; sisters, Holly Barrett, Carrie Tumey, and Lilly Denson; nieces, Sarah Barrett, and Rhiannon Hammontree; nephews, Nathaniel Barrett, and Isaac, Dustin and Jacob Bunch; and mother of his children, Jenna Denson.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Wesley Denson Sr; and will be laid to rest with him.

Visitation for Raymond will be from 11am-1:30pm on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East – 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, with a funeral service immediately following at 1:30pm.
