Raymond “Ray” Stanfield, 60 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away at Fransician Hospice House on February 28th after a short and courageous battle with Brain Cancer. Ray was born on October 28,1963 to parents Ralph and Irene Stanfield. Ray was the oldest of 3 brothers.
Ray is survived by daughter Lauren (Jeffrey) Burger, grandchildren Paisley and Liam of Columbus, Ohio, mom Irene (Joe) Trimble of Mooresville, brothers Mark (Lori) Stanfield of Greenwood and David Stanfield of Kokomo, and former wife Stephanie Stanfield of Columbus, Ohio. He is preceded in death by son Tyler Stanfield, father Ralph Stanfield, wife Kathi Stanfield, father-in-law Howard Adkins,
Ray was an employee at Ingram Micro where he worked as a repair technician. He was well loved, hardworking, and made a lot of his coworkers constantly laugh and they became like a family. He always loved IT. When he wasn’t at work, he loved building his own computers. He was a graduate of My Computer Career.
Ray was a member of the Speedway American Legion Post 500. Where he and his late wife Kathi would often go and enjoy time together with friends and play games. In his spare time, Ray loved riding his motorcycle, going out with friends and listening to music. He was a very loyal fan of Ohio State Football, he also loved the Indianapolis Colts. He was a big fan of Nascar.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 2 pm with visitation from noon at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
The family asks that guests wear gray to support and bring awareness to Brain Cancer.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Franciscan Hospice House.
