Raymond M. Lawrence

Raymond Lawrence Sr., 85, passed away May 28, 2012 at his home. He was born October 20, 1926 in Indianapolis, the son of Raleigh H. and Mary (Beckham) Lawrence. Raymond had worked in various financial institutions and was a World War II Veteran. He was a member of Brookside Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post# 500, Past-President of Westwood Country Club, and Founding member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Raymond is survived by two sons, Raymond, (Nancy) and Steve, (Robyn). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Matthew, (Sunshine) Lawrence, Melissa, (Reid) Crandall, Eric, (Angela) Lawrence, and Andrew, (Marianne) Lawrence; three great grandchildren and a brother, Bob, (Polly) Lawrence, of MA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Wittman) Lawrence. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, with visitation from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday.
