Raymond was reunited in heaven with his beautiful wife Alyce on Saturday May 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A longtime Speedway resident, Ray spent his formative years in Indianapolis and attended Cathedral High School, where he met many lifelong friends. During his time in Speedway, he was a parishioner of St. Gabriel and St. Christopher Catholic churches. Ray was born in Kankakee IL and lived in California and Rhode Island before his family settled in Indianapolis. He worked at American Equipment as warehouse manager and purchasing manager for 35 years. An avid golfer for much of his life, Ray swung the sticks right-handed despite being a proud southpaw in all other pursuits. His older brother Bob, who taught him the game, was right-handed and only had a set of “righty” clubs with which to teach his younger sibling. Ray also loved most motorsports, enjoying the wheel-to-wheel action of Indy Car, Formula 1, and most of all NACSAR, on many weekends.
Ray is survived by his four children: Michael Joubert (Michele), Angela Cox (Randy), Therese Andry (Neal) and Jennifer Fernandes (Cledwyn) and his seven grandchildren; Alexander and Zachary Black, Max and Anna Joubert, Alyson, Abigail, and Arinn Cox, as well as his great grandson Oliver.
Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alyce (nee Rakowski), his parents Irene and Raymond Sr. and his siblings Robert and Shirley.
