Raymond Howard Lewis III, 19, of Carmel, Indiana, passed away September 5, 2015. He was born October 2, 1995, in Fort Campbell, TN, and is the son of Raymond H. Jr. and Irene (Apostolacus) Lewis. Growing up, the family lived in many different places including Suwanee, GA and Huntersville, NC, before moving to Carmel in 2014.
Ray received his high school diploma from Central Piedmont Community College, and was currently enrolled at Ivy Technical Community College. He enjoyed working at Kroger on Hazel Dell Parkway with his many friends. Ray was in constant pursuit of the perfect hamburger, and he loved music, cooking, playing video games, and debating politics. He was a wonderful, son, brother, cousin and friend, and will be missed dearly by all that knew him.
He is survived by his parents; grandmother, Mary Apostolacus; sisters, Hannah and Samantha Lewis; aunts and uncles, William and Virginia Apostolacus, Diane Apostolacus, Stephen Apostolacus, John and Jill Connolly; and cousins, Theodore Apostolacus, Kit Apostolacus, Anne Apostolacus, Kate Apostolacus, and Katherine Connolly. He was preceded in passing by his grandparents, William T. Apostolacus, Raymond H. Lewis Sr., Margaret A. Lewis and Eleanor L. Lewis.
Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015, at Flanner and Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Road. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the service time. The family requests that if you feel comfortable, wear a flannel shirt, Ray's personal favorite.
