Raymond E. Williams, Sr., 89, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014. He was born December 29, 1924 in Indianapolis to the late John D. and Elizabeth Coberly Williams.
Raymond attended Bible Study Chapel. He proudly served his country as part of the US Army, fighting World War II in Italy and North Africa. He was a hard worker all of his life. He started Ace Plumbing, which grew into the R. E. Williams Company, Inc.
Raymond is survived by his son, David E. (Carol) Williams; siblings Alma Pate and Charles Williams; grandchildren Derek, Jeff, Louann, Scott, Nick, Raymond III, Tricia, Chad, and Erin; 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Emma Williams; children Raymond E. Williams, Jr., and Danny D. Williams; and siblings Robert Williams, John Williams, Albert Williams, and Mary Jane LaFollette.
