Ray L Welty

We are sad to announce the passing of Ray L Welty “The Bridgeport Barber” of Hendricks Co. Ray passed on March 30, 2023. Born in Huntington, Indiana, Feb 1, 1932. Ray was a sergeant in the Army during the Korean war. Attended Indianapolis Barber College and located to Indiana’s West side. A member for over 50 years at the Avon United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his wife Verna M Welty. Survivors include sons: Roger L Welty, Thomas A Welty. Daughter: Carmen R Cordova. Four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday April 28, 2023, at 2 pm in the chapel at West Ridge Park Cemetery. In memory of Ray flowers may be sent to West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
