Ray J. Whitteberry

Ray Junior Whitteberry 82 died October 13, 2011 in Greenwood , Indiana formerly Broad Ripple, IN. Ray was born on September 10, 1929 in Mulberry, IN to Ray Nathan and Alta Marie (Lawson) Whitteberry. Ray graduated from Mulberry High School Class of 1948 and Journeymen Barber International School in 1959. Ray was a former member of the Broad Ripple United Methodist Church and Murat Shrine. Ray was a retired barber and Co-Owner of the Boulevard Baber Shop in Broad Ripple. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Albert Lee Whitteberry. Ray is survived by his loving wife Margaret "Marge" Ellen (Doering) Whitteberry and his daughter Sara Jane (Mark) Vorhies, five beloved grandchildren Christopher (Meredith) Vorhies, Kyle (Selina) Vorhies, Jack, Troy and Ellen Vorhies and a great granddaughter Ava Vorhies and two sisters Wilma Louise Weaver and Ella Kathryn Davis and a niece Nancy (Richard) Cottrell. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
