Ray Gigli, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away February 18, 2012. He was born November 7, 1932 in Bloomington, Indiana to Frank and Ruby Gigli. He is survived by Peggy, his wife of 51 years; sons: Brian Gigli, Greg Gigli, and Robert (Janice) Gigli; sisters: Linda(Les) Frye and Eva May (Jim) Marshall.He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and his parents. Ray's father, Frank Gigli, was born in Italy and immigrated to the United States when he was 14 years old. Ray graduated from Bloomington High School and took some college courses at Indiana University in Bloomington. Ray worked at Mayflower Trucking Company for 20 years, Richardson's Rubber Company for 10 years, and retired from Fort Harrison where he worked in the maintenance department for 7 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War. Ray enjoyed gardening and fishing. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN. Friends may meet with the family also on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
