Ray G. Drake

Ray G. Drake of Indianapolis, died January 17, 2013 at the age of 82. Ray was born August 18, 1930, the child of Russ Roberts and Viola Carlyle. Ray was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing softball in his youth and bowling and golf in his later years. He also loved to play euchre. He worked as a painter for many years. After retirement he enjoyed his time living in Florida. Ray is survived by his children John Michael (Susan) Drake, Sharon Ross, Charlie (Atina) Drake, Judy Campbell, Claudine (Bill) Summers, and Carl (Eleica) Drake; sister Judy (Bob) Sommers; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; children Easter Sue Drake and Bobby Drake; and siblings John Drake, Pat Eggers, Joan Campbell, and Dick Drake. Visitation will be held Monday, January 21 from 4 PM to 7 PM with a Service beginning at 7 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis. Entombment will take place 10 AM Tuesday, January 22 at Washington Park East Cemetery.
