Randy Young, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, was called Home on December 27, 2025, at the age of 49.

Born on January 14, 1976, in Muncie, Indiana, to Randell and Barbara Young, Randy graduated from Cowan High School in Muncie, and later attended Ball State University.

Randy found the love of his life in Lauren Fonte Young, whom he married on October 9, 2004. Their life together was a testament to enduring love, partnership, and shared dreams, and together they built a beautiful family. Randy was a devoted father to his two sons, Kye and Vinnie, and his greatest joy was found in spending time with them.

Randy was a dedicated and respected leader. He served as a Manager for Herff Jones for over 6 years and dedicated an impressive 22 years to Dick's Sporting Goods, where his commitment and work ethic were deeply valued. Randy’s entrepreneurial spirit and love for sports shone brightly through his popular podcast, "Dynasty War Zone." For eight years, he shared his insightful analysis and infectious enthusiasm for fantasy football, building a community of loyal listeners who appreciated his passion and expertise.

A lifelong enthusiast of fitness, Randy found immense joy and challenge in his workouts. His dedication to a healthy lifestyle was a consistent part of who he was. This enthusiasm extended to his love for Jiu Jitsu, a discipline he embraced with characteristic commitment, finding both physical and mental strength on the mats. Randy was also an avid traveler, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories with his family.

Randy's deep love for sports was evident in his constant presence on the baseball diamond, not only watching and cheering for his favorite teams but also finding immense joy in coaching and mentoring young athletes, including his son Vinnie. His love for the sport went beyond wins and losses—it was about teaching teamwork, perseverance, and respect to countless young men.

Randy will be remembered for his warm heart, generous spirit, and his remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and seen. He was witty and his humor would have you doubled over laughing. His dedication to his family, his fierce loyalty to his friends, and his zest for life left an unforgettable mark on everyone he encountered.

He is survived by his best friend and wife, Lauren (Fonte) Young; his cherished sons, Kye Young and Vinnie Young; his loving mother, Barbara (Young) Campbell; his parents-in-law, Rich and Karen Fonte; his brothers-in-law, Ryan Fonte & family, and Daniel Fonte and family; his brothers, David Young and Joshua Young; his cousin, Rusty Daugherty and family; and his uncles, Jim Daugherty and Rob Jones.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Randell J. Young, who he now joins in eternal peace.
