Ralph Edward Narmore (November 24, 1955-July 21, 2024)

Ralph Edward Narmore, 68, of Fountaintown, Indiana died peacefully in his sleep the morning of July 21, 2024.

Ralph was born on November 24, 1955 in Trafalgar, Indiana and grew up in Indianapolis. Ralph graduated from Howe High School in 1974.

Ralph worked in the produce grocery business his entire adult life. He worked for Walmart for 25 years as a produce manager before retiring in 2018.

Ralph is preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Rhonda Lee (Ragan) Narmore and his parents Ellis Ralph Narmore Jr. and Letha Pearl (Haygood) Narmore and one step daughter Sheri Lee Ragan.

He is survived by his current wife, Michelle Owensby; daughters, Kelly Narmore Clark (James) and Trista Narmore Blair (Kenny); sisters, Alma Narmore Valentine (David) and Janice Narmore Siler (Jeff); eight grandchildren, Kalyn Ragan Craft (Bailey), Gabriel Blair, Hayleigh Blair, Hayden Clark, Olivia Clark, Aleigh Blair, Amelia Clark, and Eli Clark; three nephews, Bradley Valentine (Sarah), Chris Valentine (Leslie), and Zackery Siler (December); one niece, Rachel Siler; and three step-sons Cory, Christopher, and Chad Owensby and families.

Ralph was known for his kindness and strong work ethic. His smile and laugh were contagious. When he wasn’t working at the grocery store, he was working at home. He loved spending hours cutting grass and would not only cut his own yard, but would also cut the yards of his neighbors. Ralph enjoyed country music and collected vinyl records for many years. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors. The Smokey Mountains were one of his favorite spots. Ralph was a devoted husband and father and the best Papaw to his grandkids. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229.

A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM. Tylor Cutrona of the Brookville Road Community Church will officiate.
