Ralph Lee Allison, 93, Indianapolis, formerly of Kissimmee, FL, passed away September 29, 2016. He was born February 5, 1923, in Indianapolis, the son of the late Alvin and Wynona (Atherton) Allison. He married Lottie Louise Allison who preceded him in passing on April 17, 2007.
Ralph proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of The People’s Church and Hope Community Church in Lawrence, and the Disney Vacation Club. He enjoyed bible study and singing karaoke, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
He is survived by a brother, Michael (Barbara) Allison; sister, Helen (Gene) Chastain; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends in Kissimmee. He was preceded in passing by a brother James (Wanda) Allison; sister, Doris (Sam) Cherry; and a brother-in-law, Earl “Juney” Prifogle.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2016, at Flanner and Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Good Shepherd Chapel), 9700 Allisonville Road. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Indiana War Memorial.
