RALPH EUGENE HARLAN, 71, Lawrence, died Dec. 23.
He was a substitute teacher for Lawrence Central High School 10 years. Previously, he worked as a civilian for the Army at Fort Benjamin Harrison 39 years, retiring in 1987.
