Ralph Emerson Davis

Ralph Emerson Davis, 87, Indianapolis, passed away August 18, 2021. He was born in Converse, IN to Alfred and Bessie Haines Davis. He graduated from Converse High School in 1952 and joined the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany.  After his discharge he studied accounting at the International Business School in Ft. Wayne.  He joined RCA in Indianapolis and there, he met Phyllis.  They married in 1965.  He landed at American Red Ball Moving & Transit and during his 20 years with the company, he became co-owner of the business.  He retired in 1989.  Ralph was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He loved to travel, golf and was an avid Colts, Pacers and IU sports fan.  He will be greatly missed.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elaine Collins and Mary Ellen Wise; brother, Herb Davis and daughter, Jennifer Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; brother, Bob Davis; daughter, Lisa Curtis (Bill); and grandchildren, Nikki Camden, Alaric Forker and Nathan Davis.

Join us to celebrate Ralph’s life on Wednesday, August 25th at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm. Funeral services will immediately follow.
