Ralph Davidson

Ralph E. Davidson, 89, lifelong Zionsville, IN resident, died January 3, 2014. He was born on March 19, 1924 in Zionsville to the late Dillion C. and Mable F. (Shelburne) Davidson. Ralph honorably served his county during WWII in the U.S. Army. He married Vivian Patton in 1945. She preceded him in death in 2002. Ralph was employed at Dow Chemical for 27 years, spent 15 years with Wright-Bachman, and was an 8 – year employee of Westfield Trust and of Jones Meat Market. He was a dedicated member of the Zionsville Fire Department, serving his community with them since 1958. Ralph was also a proud member of the American Legion Post 79 and a 56-year member of the Charles F. Frank Lodge #760. He was a dedicated member of Zionsville Christian Church. He was a devoted family man who will be missed dearly by all. Ralph is survived by his children Mark Davidson (Cathy), Debra Bousman (Steve), Beth A. Murphy, sister Betty Jordan, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Calling will be from 2:00pm – 8:00pm Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 at Zionsville Christian Church. Services for Ralph will be held there Thursday, January 9th at 11:00am with calling one hour prior to the service. Contributions in memory of Ralph may be made to the American Legion Post 79 or the Zionsville Fire Department.
