Ralph Burt Beardsley

Ralph B. Beardsley 88 of Carmel, IN passed away July 15, 2013. Ralph was born in Cleveland Heights, Ohio to Burt and Cora Beardsley August 21, 1924. He graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy, at Kings Point, with a B.S. in General Science. Ralph served in WWII and Korean War with the Navy. Ralph retired from Diamond Chain of Indianapolis as vice president of operations. Ralph was an avid golfer since age 10, as well as a member and past president of Hillcrest Country Club. He is survived by Betty Fleming Beardsley, wife of 67 years, daughter Christine Davis, niece Jackie DeLozier, three grandchildren and four great grandsons. He was preceded in death by son, PFC Jeffrey R. Beardsley, sister Thelma Davidson and son-in-law Rick A. Davis. Visitation will take place at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel Thursday, July 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 and Friday July 19 1:00 to 2:00 with service beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hillcrest Historic Foundation 6098 Fall Creek Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46220.
