96, passed away peacefully with family on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Community North Heart & Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Ping was born in China. She moved to the United States in 1979 and became an American citizen several years later. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and member of the Chinese Community Church in Indianapolis. She will be remembered as an excellent gardener, talented cook, and devoted tai chi student until her final days.

Ping Liu Yeung was preceded in death by her husband, Wai Nang Yeung. She is survived by her children: Rosa Chi (Nhi On) of Indianapolis, IN, Joanna Lin (David) of Beaver Creek, OH, Julie Lee (Ignatius) of Plymouth, MN, and Michael Yeung (Xiao Hung) of Milpitas, CA; and her grandchildren (great-grandchildren): Jason (Cara) Chi of Washington, D.C., Jessica Chi (Shahid) Nimjee (Zahir, Alina) of Columbus, OH, Ruth Lin (Kenny) Nakai (Jeremiah, Karis) of Chicago, IL, Daniel Lin of Sacramento, CA, Stephanie, Melissa and Carolyn Lee of Plymouth, MN, and Amy Yeung of Milpitas, CA.

A memorial service to honor Ping Liu Yeung is scheduled for Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. Visitation preceding the service will be 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, and the funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ping Liu Yeung’s life. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Chinese Community Church (CCCI), 3405 E. 116th Street, Carmel, IN 46033, would be great appreciated.
