Phyllis N. Willetts

Phyllis Norene Willetts, of Beech Grove, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, at the age of 95. Phyllis’ passing arrived 24 hours before her 75th Wedding Anniversary. We are at peace knowing her and her husband were reunited in time for their anniversary.

Phyllis was born on July 29,1930, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was united in marriage to Glenn W. Willetts on April 7, 1951, and they shared a loving and devoted marriage until his passing in 2014. Together, they built a life centered on family. Phyllis was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, goofy demeanor and lasting love for her family. She cherished time spent with loved ones and created many treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Throughout her life, she enjoyed sewing needle point, collecting Red Heads, crocheting potholders, gardening, church and feeding/raising ducks with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving family, who will cherish her memory and continue her legacy of kindness and devotion: Children: Jim Willetts, John Willetts, Norene Dietzel (Jack Dietzel). Grandchildren: Christine Henderson, Kevin Willetts, Krystal Nelis, Katie Herrin, Ashley Moore. Great-Grandchildren: Logan Willetts, Brayden Stalcup, Avery Stalcup, Rylie Russell, Spencer Russell, Skylar Leggins, Zoe Leggins, Declan Herrin and Axel Herrin. Cousins: Cindy Hickman, Michelle Amsden Flick.

She was preceded in death by Glenn W. Willetts, Francis Holmes, Herman E. Harreld, Mary Ann Harreld (Baird) and Mitchel A. Willetts.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park East. Phyllis will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery with her beloved husband.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the American Heart Association.
