Phyllis Rhea Bridges November 28, 1929 – May 21, 2023

Phyllis Rhea Bridges, 93, of Indianapolis Indiana, passed away on May 21, 2023. She was born on November 28, 1929, in Hays, Kentucky, to parents Roger Edwards and Mable (Jackson) Edwards.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Kerry “Woodie” Bridges (Joyce) and Sandra “Sandy” Riley; grandchildren, Steven, Emily, Robert, Adam, Jesse, Shelby, and Taylor; great-grandchildren Laine, Cora Rose, Elsie; and sister, Janice Kleier. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Homer W. Bridges; parents, Roger and Mable Edwards; daughters, Ramona Kaye Wininger and Constance Yvonne Metcalf; siblings Roger, Bill, and Gene Edwards.

Visitation for Phyllis will be from 12-2 pm on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East – 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, with a funeral service immediately following at 2pm. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery.
