Phyllis Oldham McCracken 83 of Carmel, Indiana passed away in her home at Marquette Manor on Monday March 10, 2014. She was born May 22, 1930 in Martinsville, Indiana. She is survived by her husband of 3 years Howard McCracken, sister, Sherry (Gerry) Brown, daughters Denise (Marc) Oldham, Pam (Kevin) Rafdal, and Kathy (Jim) Rafdal. She was also the loving grandmother of Paula (Brad) Steely, Penny (Russ) Fowler, Steven (Angelina) McAtee, Carmen Rafdal, Craig Rafdal, Kristen Rafdal, Lauren Rafdal, and Kurt Rafdal. Along with this she was the great grandmother of eight beautiful children: Khias, Carter, Avery, Tucker, Ryan, Braden, Anna, and a baby due in June. Phyllis was married to her high school sweetheart, Dennis Oldham for 49 years. He preceded her in death 15 years ago. After her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at St. Vincent Hospital and St. Vincent Hospice. Phyllis and Howard were members of The Church at the Crossing in Indianapolis. She was love, joy and kindness personified. Her family adored her and she gave them all an example of beautiful Christian love. They were blessed to have her in their lives to love and to be loved by her. She is now home with Jesus in peace and her legacy of Christ's love will live on through her family. Services will be held at Flanner and Buchanan 105 W Pine Street Zionsville, IN 46077 at 1pm with visitation at 11 Thursday March 13, 2014. Memorial Contributions in Phyllis' honor can be made to the American Heart Association and/or the Disabled Veterans of America.
