Phyllis Mae Foreman

Phyllis M. Foreman, 92 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on August 17, 2023. She was born to the late Howard E. and Clarice V. Cochran on March 16, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio.

She was married to her beloved husband, the late Walter R Foreman, Sr., for 75 years. Phyllis raised 5 children with love and compassion. She loved sitting on her front porch with Walter and her spoiled little Chewy (the dog) by her side. Phyllis attended Trinity Lutheran Church for over 60 years and served in numerous roles at the church.

She is survived by her loving children: Sandra Cleland, Linda (James) Collins, Debra Ord, Walter (Teresa) Foreman Jr, and Diana Foreman; grandchildren: Michael Cleland Jr, Phillip Collins, Aaron (Doris) Collins, Joshua (Ashley Simpson) Ord, Jason (Melissa) Lowry, Clarice (Paul) Roberts and Jacquelene(Joshua) Birch; great-grandchildren: Zane, Zoe, Lilika Christian, Joshua, Adam, Cassidy, Addison, Lucille, Hunter and Johnny; great-great grandchildren: Olivia and Addison; sister, Marie (Rande) Condrey, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Phyllis is preceded in passing by her husband, Walter R. Foreman Sr., her parents: Howard E. and Clarice V. Cochran; brothers: Howard Cochran and Richard Cochran; sisters: Patricia Redden, Joan Macy, and Lois Cardinal; granddaughter, Angela Glass, and sons-in-laws: Michael Cleland Sr. and James Ord.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan -Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street. A funeral service will be held the following day at 10 a.m. Phyllis will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
