Phyllis Jane Lee

Phyllis Jane Lee 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away October 13, 2022. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on April 15, 1940, to the late John Harvey Johnson, Jr. and Mary Lavadia (Webb) Johnson. Phyllis was the long-time manager at Mickey & Bills Pizza on the Southwest side of Indianapolis. She was a collector, enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, traveling, and spending time with her family, in fact it was said of her that she was the “rock” of the Lee family. Phyllis was also very caring and generous to her community and was active at Food Pantries and served for 15 years as a Board Member for the Troy Manor Cooperative. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many. Phyllis is survived by her loving children, John R. (Tammy J.) Lee, Bryan D. (Phyllis G.) Lee, Lynn (Larry) Baker, her grandchildren, Adam and Dylan Compton, Jordan, Jimmy Lee, Monique, Tiffany, Bryan II, Kodi Lee, Sam, Larry III, Garett Baker, her 19 great grandchildren, and her sisters, Johnnie, Vickie, and June. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Compton and a grandson, William Baker. The family invites you to celebrate Phyllis’s life with them on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 3:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with her service at 6:00pm.
