Phyllis Marie Babinsky

Phyllis (Marie) Babinsky, 77, of Indianapolis passed away September 24th, 2026. She was born in Manistee, Michigan on August 7th, 1949, to parents Joseph and Leah Raymond.

Phyllis was the devoted wife to her husband David for 56 years, but the most dominant part of her legacy is the role she played in the nurturing and development of her children:

First is her son David, who achieved a master’s degree and became a senior finance manager for Nissan north America, based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Next is daughter Dana, who became a nurse practitioner in the mental health field. She resides in Jenison, Michigan.

Finally, is daughter Laura, who achieved a law degree, and is currently an assistant united states attorney in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

These three great children, together with their spouses, blessed Phyllis with six beautiful grandchildren, whom she adored.

Phyllis was also very instrumental in the family's philanthropic efforts, stimulating support of St. Jude Children's Hospital, American Red Cross, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, and Samaritan’s Purse.

She was an avid reader, which helped to form her philosophies on life. She was able to share some of these philosophies for 19 years with her close friends and neighbors at the Vineyards of Fall Creek book club.

The family knows that many will celebrate her life through their own thoughts and memories, there will not be a formal celebration of life.
