Phillip Michael Lombardo

Phillip M. Lombardo 86 of Indianapolis died January 27, 2011. Phillip was born August 21, 1924 in Indianapolis to August Joseph and Catherine Mary (Spicuzza) Lombardo. Phillip was an Army veteran during WWII. He owned and operated Lombardo Floor Covering for over 40 years starting in 1949. He also worked for the Indianapolis Indians. Phillip was an avid bowler where for more than 15 years he sponsored two bowling leagues at Eagle Bowl on the west side of Indianapolis. Phillip married Maida Gladys (Loven) Lombardo on September 15, 1945 and she preceded him in death on April 01, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his brother Lawrence Lombardo and sisters Mary Lombardo Burrello and Catherine Lombardo Tucker. Phillip is survived by his children Phillip J. (Tina) Lombardo and Terrell “Terry” (Eileen) Lombardo and his grandchildren Jason Phillip Lombardo, Brandon Michael Lombardo, Torrey Anthony Lombardo, Christopher Todd Lombardo and Chad Michael Lombardo great grandchildren Antonio, Jordan, Kaiden, Gianna, Hannah, Logan and Cason. Phillip is also survived by his siblings Paul (Helen) Lombardo, A. Joe (Theresa) Lombardo and Josephine (Lombardo) Persinger. Calling will be Tuesday February 01, 2011 from 9 AM to service time of 10 AM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Dr. Indianapolis, IN 46228. Memorial contributions may be made to either Riley Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
