Phillip B. Alexander, 71, of Carmel passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Earl and Olive (Edwards) Alexander. He graduated from Shortridge High School. He was a US Army National Guard Veteran during the Vietnam War. Phillip worked as a Manufacturing manager at Allison Gas Turbine/Rolls Royce for 34 years before his retirement. Phillip was an active member of Grace Church where he was active in the Grace Care Center and enjoyed serving as an usher. He was also active in the Lamplighter Ministries. Phillip was a member of the Hamilton County Habitat for Humanity Tiger Team, Millersville Masonic Lodge #126, and the Carmel American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Tyler Pierce.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda (Moore) Alexander of Carmel; his son, David Alexander and his wife Angela of Carmel; his daughter, Kelli Jones and her husband Scott of Carmel; stepson, Jarrod Pierce and stepdaughter, Jennifer Pierce; his sister, Donna Meimberg and her husband William of Carmel. 8 grandchildren, Kelsey Alexander, Lauren, Megan and Kirsten Searl, Julianne Locke, Tia Ruble, Alyssa and Daren Pierce.
A celebration of Phillip's life will be held 6:00 PM, Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Grace Church, 5504 E. 146th, Noblesville, IN 46062. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until service time. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel.
