Phila C. Peake

Phila Cole Peake 79 of Carmel, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013. Phila was born July 29, 1934 in Brazil, IN to the late James G. and Helen Fischer Cole. After graduating from Broad Ripple High School, she went on to graduate from Indiana University and received her Master's degree from the University of Evansville. Phila was President of Cole Real Estate for 20 years. Phila was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, the DAR and the University of Evansville and IU Alumni Associations. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 28 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, where family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Phila is survived by her daughters, Debra L. (husband, Jack) Humphrey, Alison P. Kowatch and Roxanna M. (husband, Ernest) Crawford; grandchildren, Kristopher Kowatch, Robert and Annie Humphrey, Jonathan and Madeline Crawford; great grandson, Jack Humphrey. She was preceded in death by her half-brother, James Cole. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
