Peter Forsythe Davidson

August 16, 1951 — November 5, 2025

Indiana

Peter passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, 11/05/25 after a months long illness in his home on the West Side of Indianapolis. Pete was born in Camden, New Jersey 08/16/1951, the third of four children born to George and Margaret Davidson who predeceased Peter. The family resided in Philadelphia Pa as well as Camden and Bloomfield NJ prior to relocating to Indianapolis when Pete was 8 years old.

Peter attended St. Andrew Catholic school as well as Brebeuf Jesuit where he was a National Honor Society student and also lettered in baseball. He graduated from Brebeuf with high honors then studied for several years at Indiana University and Ball State University.

Peter is survived by his sister Jeanne Corydon (Patrick), brother Dennis Davidson (Brenda); Nephews Jeff Corydon (Lindsey) and Nicholas Davidson (Molly); Nieces Jamie Corydon and Sarah Dewey (Brad), three great nephews, Maxim Payne, Brooks & Beckett Dewey, and one great niece, Kaylee Corydon, as well as by relatives in England and several cousins in the U.S.

In addition to his parents, Peter is predeceased by his sister Patricia Manson (John).

Peter retired after a 25-year career with the Indianapolis Airport Authority in the transportation department.

Pete was known for his gift of gab and an amiable personality. He was a mathematical wizard and an excellent chess player. Peter won several frisbee golf tournaments as well as winning the 7th annual Labor Day Frisbee Golf Classic Trophy for 1st Place. Playing frisbee with Pete always concluded with him throwing the disc high into the sky nearly out of sight and then catching it as it came back to him like a boomerang!

Like his father George, Peter enjoyed photography and was particularly good at capturing his nieces and nephews at play. He also enjoyed photographing auto races and all the models posing with the cars.

Pete will be missed by all his family and friends, especially his poker buddies Fred and Jerry Coraz (no kibitzing), Mark Newland, Scott Springer and brother Dennis. Perhaps he is now at a heavenly table with Danny, Mike, and Chuck.
