Peggy Anne Victor, age 82 of Zionsville, IN passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026.
Peggy was born on July 13, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Deffé) Cummings. She had a brother: Father Charles Cummings who precedes her in death.
She attended grade school in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and graduated from St. Francis High School in Little Falls, Minnesota on May 29, 1961.
During school she was active in the Campfire Girls and she also played the piano, violin and guitar.
After high school she attended St. Benedicts School for Medical Record Technicians in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from there in June of 1962. She was accredited in the American Society of Medical Record Librarians on September 13, 1963.
Throughout her working and professional career she worked four years in Medical Records at St. Ben’s in Ogden, UT and later worked for three years in Medical Records at Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA, followed by four years as Assistant Director of Medical Records at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.
Peggy married Steven Eugene Victor on February 15, 1974 at St. Judes Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, IN.
Peggy and Steve later moved to Owensboro, Kentucky where their two children: Jessica and Nathan were born.
In May of 2003, Peggy and Steve moved to Zionsville, IN where they have resided since.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 52 years: Steven Victor of Zionsville, IN.
Her daughter: Jessica Linn (husband Mike) Zielinski of Appleton, Wisconsin and her son: Nathan Jon Victor of Indianapolis.
Three grandchildren: Gavin Jon Zielinski, Lauren Grace Zielinski, and Brooklyn Rose Zielinski.
Over the years, Peggy enjoyed a variety of activities including book club, crafts, sewing, ceramics, painting both oil and watercolor, hiking, horseback riding, dancing, ice & roller skating, knitting, embroidering, crocheting, golf and genealogy.
She was a member of several clubs including the Republican Woman’s club, Owensboro ballroom dancing club, caretenders of senior parents, White Oak Society of Northern Minnesota as well as the welcome wagon clubs of Owensboro and Zionsville.
Most importantly Peggy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, located at 1870 W. Oak Street, Zionsville, IN 46077.
The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM. Father Matthew Kalu will officiate.
Following the Funeral Mass, a reception will be held at the church.
A private burial service will be held at Brookston Cemetery in Brookston, Indiana. Deacon Tim Perry will officiate the burial service.
Flanner Buchanan - Zionsville Funeral Center has charge of arrangements.
