Peggy M. Haznedl

Peggy M. Haznedl, 93, of Greenfield, IN passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. She was born March 26, 1921 in Carlinville, IL to the late John M. and Estelle Truselle Ferguson. Peggy was a sweet lady, and was loved by everyone she met. She was the first resident of Springhurst Health Campus, and was lovingly known there as the "Queen". It was her personal mission to help be a caretaker for her fellow residents, and she did her best to keep the staff in line as well. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, going to the casino, and keeping her mind sharp with crossword puzzles. She is survived by her children Charles E. (Susan) Haznedl, Jr., Peggy J. (David) Hines, and David N. (Kristie) Haznedl; grandchildren Charles E. Haznedl, III, Terri S. Osborne, David P. Hines, Sara K. Laska, Jake C. Haznedl, and Joel D. Haznedl; sister Estelle Thamm; and many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Haznedl, Sr., grandson John M. Haznedl, and brother Jack Ferguson.
