Peggy Jo Cline, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away January 6th, 2022. She was born May 24th, 1951, in Terre Haute, Indiana to parents Floyd and Rose Mary (Cox) Burriss.
On October 6th, 1990, she married her loving husband Michael Cline. They shared 30 wonderful years together. Mike passed away September 22nd, 2021.
Peggy was a hard worker, and was employed at Merchants, Kodak, JW Thompson, Liberty Mutual, and even the Indianapolis symphony during her lifetime.
She was a valued member of Chapel Wood Baptist church and Sunnyside Baptist church throughout her life.
Peggy was a strong, loving woman. She was a master seamstress, sewing clothing and teddy bears for her grandchildren. She generously lent her sewing talents to making gloves and hats for the homeless as well. Peggy loved NASCAR and was a devoted fan of the Indianapolis Colts. Above all, she adored her family, and loved spending time with her loved ones.
Peggy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her son Cassel (Emily) W. Burriss; grandchildren Tamara Eddy, Cassel David Burriss, Joanna Rose Burriss, Lucy Jean Burriss, and Nikolas Logan Burriss; her sister Marquita Hamm of Vincennes, and brother Clifford Burriss of Bicknell.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mike.
Peggy’s visitation will be Tuesday, January 11th, from 10am- 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery following her visitation.
